Roll Deep: MOBO TV Interview (Video).Published by @Lanredavies
Though being in the scene for a fair amount of years and being the first building block for some of the UK’s biggest stars such as Dizzee Rascal, Tinchy Stryder and Skepta being associated with the urban group, Roll Deep only found commercial success a couple of years ago. Roll Deep's storming year came in 2010 saw Wiley’s boys secured two number one singles in ‘Good Times’ featuring Jodie Connor and ‘Green Light’ featuring Tania Foster. Roll Deep are set to return in 2012 with a bang. Although Wiley is momentarily taking a backseat for this record, Roll Deep have secured new member in Tania Foster for their 5th studio album. MOBO TV caught up with the whole gang before Christmas where they were rehearsing their new material in front of our very eyes. This exclusive behind the scenes footage will show you how one of the UK’s most successful grime groups relaxes and goes through a carefully selected set. This is followed by an in-depth interview with eight of the nine individuals there on the day (Target was missing unfortunately). In attendance were J2K, Breeze, Brazen, Flow Dan, DJ Karnage, Scratchy, Tania Foster and Manga to give out each of their two cents. Manga even gives us a quick freestyle and Brazen teaches us a dance move.

INTRODUCING: Mista Dry Gin (Watch) Published by @Lanredavies
UK based Nigerian rapper/ producer/ sound engineer who goes by the name of "Mista Dry Gin". This carelessly lyrical artist has been producing and mixing music professionally since the age of 16 for the likes of Play Records' Kanebi, Ghost of Show Dem Camp, eL Flaco & Novo to name a few Nigerians acts. Dry Gin has also written for & collaborated with a wide and rather weird span of artists from around the globe; from Eastern Europe to Italy & Ghana...and it goes on. A rather ecliptic buzz has been steadily growing in the Docklands region of East London after a consistent triple threat grind, releasing EIGHT mixtapes in a little under THREE years (His debut mixtape CHAMELEON dropped in the summer of '09 & can be found with the rest of his collection at datpiff.com) and a steady stream of show stealing features on numerous mixtapes and viral videos. We at MirrorMan are pleased we are the ones bringing him to your attention, offering you his latest mixtape "OVERWEIGHT", the sequel to the earlier "HEAVYWEIGHT", and a pick of his virals for you our friends to take in and critique, and pass on. We believe he definitely brings something to the metaphoric "table" and have thus decided to put his work on our platform, which is you. Enjoy...and since this is our first collective post of 2012, a Happy New Year to you guys.
