Port Harcourt based artists Mr 2Kay is back with new tunes.
If you have been following Mr 2Kay’s music, you will agree that he has his unique method of delivering good music with some sort of relevant message (Run This Town and Waterside Boy).

In a recent interview with Choice'Fm's Dj Abrantee with The Guardian newspaper , it was reported that the host of the popular Afrobeats radio show claimed to have formed the word "Afrobeats" to describe a new genre of the African music invasion into the UK. This caused a storm in the Afro entertainment industry with the popular host coming under fire for the reported comments. 2007, Folajimi and fellow friend Cosmos (known as Effizy) met up with Nollege Wizdumb and Slim Alf to form the Naija Hip-Hop group “Apexx.” While in the group, Folajimi coined the stage name “Jay Cube.” Jay Cube provided a complementing touch of R&B to the hip hop tracks. In late 2008, the band members made a mutual decision to pursue their individual music careers. As a result of this, “Jay Cube” began to acknowledge himself as “V.O.A” (Voice of Africa). Vibe Squad is an Urban Afrobeats group made up of 3 London based artist Wizzy, Pregoo and Dee. The group came to know each other after gaining admission into the same Sixth-Form College in East-London and realising they shared the same ethnic background and most importantly the same passion for music, they made the decision to enter the fast emerging Afrobeats genre.
Vibe Squad released their first single “Whine Pon Me” produced by Kings Beat in the summer of 2009 to mostly positive reviews, leading to them being dubbed as the new “Praye” of the Afrobeats world by Sankofa of Spectrum Radio.The success of “Whine Pon Me” led to Vibe Squad being invited to perform at events such as Ghana Party in the Park, Ghana meet the stars organised by Van Dyck and Akwaaba promotion to perform alongside renowned artists like Tinchy Stryder, V.I.P, Praye and many more.
The group released their second single “You’re The One” a song that caught the attention and admiration of Nigerian promoters Starmix Entertainment who instantly made arrangements for the group to perform with Mario and Terry G at the indigo2. Vibe Squad were also invited to open up for Tuface at the launching of his album “The Unstoppable(I.E)” in July 2010 at Troxy, London.
In October 2010, Vibe Squad decided to take some time off the music scene to concentrate on their personal lives i.e Education mainly due to the massive workload involved in reading courses such as International Business, Law and Pharmacy at University level.
Vibe Squad jumped back on the scene summer 2011 with the release of their fast-paced third single “Dance With Me” with a video featuring the funky house sensation Tribal Magz of Tribal Man Skank fame. “Dance with me” just like its predecessors mostly had a good reception from the numerous Afrobeats DJs in London. This single was quickly followed by ‘Wadi Mi Sika’ a song described by Wizzy as being made to feed the “azonto-hungry” fans featuring Mista Silva and Kwamz & Flava. A video was shot for the track due to numerous demands from fans on twitter and Facebook.
Vibe Squad are looking to drop 2 more singles before releasing their first E.P. They have described their next singles as being “CRAAZY”….

Leo'nel has performed at different places in the UK, and also in Nigeria; from Basketmouth's Lord of the Ribs in Manchester to MI's album launch party in Huddersfield to different places such as Sheffield, Leeds, Glasgow, Liverpool, Bradford, the ZAFAA award nominations in Lagos, the Global News Awards in Lagos and others.
