JLS ANNOUNCE 3D CONCERT MOVIE EVENT – EYES WIDE OPEN

JLS are set to continue their remarkable story and become the first UK pop group to release a 3D concert movie.

JLS are no strangers to groundbreaking success and are set to continue their incredible journey by releasing Eyes Wide Open, a 3D concert movie filmed on their recent sold-out UK arena tour, to be exclusively screened in cinemas for one day only, on June 3rd 2011.The tour saw the band play to hundreds of thousands of fans and came hot on the heels of Outta This World, the 500,000-selling follow up album to their multi-platinum self-titled debut.This live spectacular was captured exclusively for Eyes Wide Open at the sold-out London O2 Arena in January 2011. 

The feature length movie will not only see the four-piece performing all of their hits, including recent single Eyes Wide Shut and UK #1s This Club Is Alive, Love You More and Everybody In Love, but will also feature never-before-seen interviews and backstage footage of Marvin, JB, Oritsé and Aston, allowing fans to get closer to the band than ever before.  

Speaking about Eyes Wide Open, Marvin Humes says that fans can expect to see things they’ve never seen before, such as “us in the dressing-room before the shows, what we get up to when we're on the road, partying with our dancers and crew, and ending up in random locations around the country!” Marvin added the band decided to make a concert movie “because it’s another JLS first. Making a movie has always been on our wish list and now we've accomplished that goal. 

We want our fans to see another side to us, a more intimate side, proper fly-on-the-wall camera stuff! We can't wait for everyone to see it – it’s an experience we will remember for the rest of our lives .” Nationwide screenings of Eyes Wide Open will take place at selected Vue, Showcase, Cineworld, Empire, Apollo and independent theatres across the UK and Ireland for one day only, June 3rd 2011. 

Coinciding with the release of the movie will be a range of limited edition Eyes Wide Open merchandise, available online only to fans who buy tickets for the film at selected cinema websites, Ticketmaster.co.uk and HMV.com.
