Washington Obasohan a young man originating from Benin City – Edo State in Nigeria and he grew up with his mother and little sister. He started singing at the age of 12 singing Christian songs and his mum always wanted him to be a chorister, as his first exposure was from church. He is a strong believer in Christ and believes in God and his grace in which he has a lot of faith. He enjoys reading novels and writing lyrics, singing, as he is an artist and social networking, to boost his contacts.
Washington’s mentor TuFace Idibia, Faze and PSquare as they are from his origin and he looks up to international artists such as Brian McKnight, Usher Raymond, NeYo and RKelly as they share his kind of passion for music. The genre that he specializes in is RnB, HipHop, HiLife, POP and Afrobeats, considering his Nigerian roots.
His first single was titled "ESHE" meaning Thank You which won him the best artist in his church and an award in 2006, that was when he decided to pursue a career in music n develop his talent.
In year 2008, at option 1,Benin City - Edo State, Nigeria he performed his hit single titled “MY MONEY and YOU and I” which secured him his first record deal with Don Jeff Records. In 2010 he was signed to Ge -Swill Records for duration of 1 year. After this he was working solo but this didn't stop young Washington from recording new songs and putting in work to achieve his dreams and reach his goals.
Recently he has been taken under the management of Raylo Productions based in the UK.
This year he has been working on various singles leading up to his upcoming album including the singles: “Chocolate, Small Boy and Play my heart”.
He has future plans to travel and sell music worldwide and take the music industry by surprise and come forth with new and diverse types of music. He has extreme value and appreciation for his fans and wishes to continue to expand his fan base in the near future.
He also has high hopes for his new management team i.e. Raylo Productions and has strong faith that by next year they will be a leading production team and well recognized.
