On July 8th, Jay-Z had planned a huge Roc Nation concert to celebrate the success of his latest album "Magna Carta Holy Grail" but the New York mayor office had discussions with the NYPD and the green light given to Jay-Z earlier by mayor Bloomberg himself, was revoked.
The concert had to be cancelled due to "Holiday terrorists concerns", after the boston bombings, America is left with a scar that is difficult to heal, and concerts like this during the summer usually gather enormous crowds, which raised concerns to the "safeness" of such an event.
Many fans were disapointed, but the terrorist alert is still red in America and especially New York. The city declared they cannot take any risks at this stage of the year.
Even with this turn of events, Magna Carta Holy Grail is still a huge hit and might be considered one of Jay-Z's best albums...=
