Over the past months there have been speculations regarding the position of Jude Engees Okoye in Square Records, parent company of Nigerian megastar Peter and Paul Okoye popularly known as P Square.
Jude, who was absent at Peter Okoye’s wedding last year had just tweeted that he is done, after over 10 years of hardwork. Square Records was founded in 2003. Although he didn’t make mention of Square Records.
What we are told is that P Square are also “considering” going separate ways career-wise, in order to be independent now that they are both married and have to live their family lives separately.
A source who interviewed P Square last year who asked if they will ever break up was told by P Square they can’t sing together forever and one day one of them will have to trigger the move – which is not related to any beef, but as part of growth.
Jude has since founded North Side records, home to Cynthia Morgan.
