GADGETS: 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab Q unleashed with 720p HD display!

SAMSUNG already offers more tablets than a pharmacy (almost), with loads of choice within its Galaxy Tab and Galaxy Tab S ranges, but the South Korean giant is now eyeing up the bargain-basement end of the market, launching the pocket-money-friendly Samsung GALAXY TAB Q, which still packs in plenty of pixels.

The latest tablet from Samsung sits at the smaller end of the scale, with a 7-inch screen boasting a 720p resolution. Sure, it’s a long way from the staggeringly sharp 2560×1600 screens found on the 8.4-inch and 10.5-inch Galaxy Tab S, but it’s more than capable enough for catching up with your favourite stories on the Gadget Show.

There’s a lot to like about the GALAXY TAB Q, which boasts a Note-like faux leather finish, including its quad-core processor and 8-megapixel snapper. Connectivity is top-notch, for a start, with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS all crammed into the compact casing.

Throw in a 2-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video chats, and a microSD card slot for adding more storage space, and there’s everything you to play games, browse theweb or catch up with the latest films and TV shows.

At present, the Samsung GALAXY TAB Q is restricted to China, but fingers crossed it’ll be making its way over to these shores in the not too distant future. There’s currently no word on pricing, but could Samsung manage to undercut its own Galaxy Tab 4 range?
