Make no mistake: Ronnie Fieg has successfully connected two worlds by acting as a liaison between otherwise corporate outlets and this underground thing we call ‘streetwear.’ The byproduct of this finds independent brands rising to prominence, each hungry to present their – and in many senses, our – own interpretation of modern footwear.
That said, Fieg reprises his relationship with Filling Pieces for his latest project, honoring the brand’s successes with a new collection. The collaboration includes three renditions of the RF-Mid, each executed with a premium leather upper and intended to suit situations from urbanexploration to gala debuts. A quilted navy blue version adds a luxe touch to the range, while a light tan option is complimented by rose gold eyelets and intended to wear over time. Thewhite version of the silhouette is embossed with a ‘dragon’ print at the midfoot, emphasizing boldness in an elegant manner.
