Influenced by the rare vocal prowess of his sisters Onarii and Tamunobiekerem who are also very good singers, Sopriye overtime began to sing, taking after his sisters. A self trained singer,
Sopriye has worked on his vocal technique and has mastered his craft over the years, resulting into an fine RnB singer.
As a versatile singer, his vocal ability also helps him sing Lovers Rock Reggae and Soul.
In 2008 Sopriye auditioned for the MTN Project Fame and was admitted into the TV Reality Show alongside Praise, Iyanya Nii among others. In 2012 he signed a modeling contract as one of the faces on the MTN 400 Naira recharge voucher.
Sopriye has performed at several National and International events including; the Oxbridge and Cambridge ball for the alumni of the Cambridge University, and at a Media briefing during
president Clinton's visit to Nigeria in 2000. He has also performed for the President of the Republic of Rwanda, President Paul Kagame, at the Oxbridge and Cambridge spring lecture in
