Tip row: the driver, next to the woman in green, confronts the staff
Staff at a US car dealership have sparked a worldwide backlash after demanding a pizza delivery man should return an $8 tip.
Workers at F&R Auto Sales in Massachusetts posted a clip online of the man coming back into their shop only to be shouted down with abuse after not giving them change from $50 for pizzas.
The business has been swamped with criticism online after the footage went viral.
The film shows a frustrated delivery man from Palace Pizza return to the dealership after workers played a cruel trick on him.
They had paid him two $20 notes and two $5 notes on an order worth just over $42 - leaving him to drive away from the Westport dealership thinking he had earned a healthy tip of almost $8.
But after he had left, the workers called Palace Pizza back to demand the delivery man - named locally as Jarrid Tansey - return with their change.
Returning, he tells the staff: "It just doesn’t make sense why you would hand me a bill that you would have me drive back to give you anyway.
