WEST HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH)– Police say 27-year-old Richard Sarpong was supposed to be watching his 86-year-old client, but he was having sex with a prostitute instead. West Hartford police say a neighbor saw a car parked near Belmont and Glenwood Road around 9 p.m.
Thursday, and thought it looked suspicious. Police questioned the driver, 30-year-old John Erdman, who told officers he was waiting for a friend. That’s when police say 26-year-old Raechelle Carmona started walking down the street from a few doors down, the home where she allegedly had sex with Sarpong for money. His client was upstairs sleeping during the entire ordeal. “I couldn’t believe it happened here; it’s so quiet all the time, nothing really happens,” said West Hartford neighbor Carl Merz. “It’s hard to know who to trust anymore. It’s hard to trust anybody.”
