MUSIC: RAGHAV FEAT. MOELOGO - DO YOU LIKE

Platinum selling artist Raghav teams up with Moelogo on the Afrobeats infused RnB track

After heavy rotation on UK radio in recent weeks including support from A Dot and Trevor Nelson at BBC 1Xtra along with E Plus and Abrantee at Capital Xtra, multi award winning Canadian artist Raghav returns to UK ears with ‘Do You Like’. Produced by Steel Banglez (credits include Wiley and MoStack), Raghav’s trademark soulful pop vocals are given a UK urban flavour with an unexpected Afrobeats dimension courtesy of Moelogo, whose verse takes the track into different waters for Raghav.

Known worldwide since his success in the Noughties and perhaps best known for his No.1 charting debut album ‘Storyteller’, which sold over 1.3 Million copies, spawning 4 UK top 10 singles and which became the 6th biggest selling album of all time in India (6 times platinum). Raghav marks a new chapter in his career with this single after taking some time out to become a father.

His affiliation with UK fans has been there since day one, aided by his 3 performances on Top Of The Pops, twice a Never Mind The Buzzcocks guest plus winning a MOBO Award for ‘Best Collaboration’ also around that time.

2016 has seen the versatile musician set his skills to writing and producing for other artists including Fuse ODG as well as recording a new material of his own. A collection of tracks with producers Stephen "Di Genius" Macgregor and Oscar winning producer A R Rahman have resulted in an EPs worth of work which will surface later this year. Past collabs include with Sly and Robbie, Labrinth, Redman and Nelly but now we see Raghav set his sights on the flourishing UK scene as this track promises to be a taste of what to expect from other collabs lined up with artists this side of the pond.

‘Do You Like’ is the perfect summer vibes track to announce himself back on the scene. Stay tuned for a Wyte Label house remix and more announcements very soon.
