Hotly tipped by the trendsetters and tastemakers of the music scene, Tiana Major9 is due to make a colossal impact with her own music as well as the music she composes for others.

Jazz is her heart. Although Tiana Major9 fell in love with R&B and Hip-Hop first, her fascination with their origins had quickly turned from curiosity to a genuine obsession for this style of music. ‘Jazz is as free and uncompromising’ - Two of many words which can also be used to describe the East London born Empress and her music.

Growing up in a British Jamaican house-hold with her Christian mother and 2 siblings, Tiana has always been surrounded by music, whether it be Gospel or Garage. The church became a catalyst for her love of performing, which lead her into taking private performing arts classes during her early teens. Even though she enjoys acting and dancing to this day, she says “Music is everything to me. I’ve invested so much into it; it’s basically all I know...I genuinely feel happier when I’m making music...”

In 2014, Tiana entered ‘MOBO Unsung’, a nationwide competition for songwriters that eventually ended with her becoming the first runner up. Regardless of coming 2nd, it failed to discourage her as she now had extra exposure to elevate her career to the next level and since MOBO Unsung, she has landed multiple radio interviews, including her performance on BBC 1Xtra’s ‘Home-grown’ show with DJ Target.

At only 21, Tiana has graced many stages across Europe, having supported acts such as Ray BLK and Ella Eyre. She has performed at Bulgaria’s ‘Meadows in the Mountains’ Festival but more recently, she blessed a busy West End performing for ‘Today At Apple’ in the Apple Store on London’s Regent street.

Although still very young in her career, her self- penned lyrics and alternative sound is launching her into becoming one of London’s freshest emerging artists!
