With nearly 200,000 views already on the video on YouTube, UK-based Afrobeats rising star VALENTINE is proud to unveil his brand new single titled ‘TOKU’, which serves as the first taste of his upcoming debut EP, and his first release, on the back of signing with revered UK label Dice Recordings, who currently look after Big Narstie, and have worked with the likes of Skepta, Izzie Gibbs, and Shystie, among others.

Drawing inspiration from the late great Michael Jackson, Valentine has often been compared to the likes of P-Square, Usher and Chris Brown, because of the combination of his infectious tracks, excellent vocal dexterity, incredible dance skills, high energy, and electrifying performances, which has seen the fast-rising Afrobeats sensation garner recognition from the likes of X Factor and GRM Daily in the UK, Wazobia in Nigeria, and HiTV in Cameroon, among others.

Speaking about how his ‘Toku’ track came together, Valentine says, “my producer and I were messing around in the studio having fun, when the hook for ‘Toku’ came to me. It was a really fun session creating the track, I hope it reflects the fun we were having when making the track, and I hope people really enjoy the vibe on this one”.
