After the huge success of their joint EP ‘Summers’ and smash hit 4 Nothin’ amassing over 4 million streams - the street’s demanded another melvitto x Gabzy collaboration. Resulting in another powerful ballad to get us exercising our vocal chords...again - ‘TROUBLE’.
American record producer, melvitto (Wande Coal, Ayo Jay, A'won Boyz) calls on the expressive vocals from Gabzy to paint a hurdle many people can relate to early on in their dating stages. Gabzy speaking on creation of Trouble states:
“We all know when friends are too involved in the dating stages, it can be stressful - it can really hinder the growth or the direction of things…*haha* if the friends don’t like you - it’s just long! I wrote this song considering all angles ”
melvitto & Gabzy met during Gabzy’s travels to America and almost instantly joined forces musically setting up the perfect correlation. Melvitto's soothing, yet punching production style along with Gabzy's nostalgic vocals and his ability to express relatable emotions is what allows both of them to embody a unique fusion that has never been heard before.
Their Summers EP received support from tastemakers such as Twin B (BBC, 1Xtra), Mista Jam (Radio 1/BBC 1Xtra), Manny Norte (Capital Xtra), DJ Ace (BBC 1Xtra) and DJ Target (BBC 1Xtra) on UK National Radio. ‘4 Nothin’ was also added to Capital Xtra’s chilled playlist hosted by Leah Davies as well as playlists across community radio such as Reprezent Radio, Pulse 88 and The BeatLDN.
Solo vocalist, Gabzy has a growing fanbase here in the UK, furthermore he has captured the attention of global artists such as Masego, Saweetie, Darkoo, Hardy Caprio, Tion Wayne, Reekado Banks and more.
