Kalpee’s glorious, five-track body of work Feel Good Playlist Vol.1 EP is inspired by his Caribbean roots, which fuses reggae and calypso into a contemporary R&B, pop sound. Through his music, Kalpee intends to do nothing but make people feel good about themselves and their surroundings, especially by injecting a little bit of that Trinbagonian vibe which is an essential part of who he is. The refreshing EP includes latest sun-soaked single ‘Gimme De Ting’ featuring platinum recording superstar Stefflon Don (which received radio support from BBC 1Xtra’s DJ Target and DJ Ace as well as Capital 1Xtra’s Ras Kwame). The track was co-written and produced by Kalpee and The Anmls (The Weeknd, Future, BANKS, Belly, D.R.A.M, French Montana, Meek Mill).

Feel Good Playlist Vol.1 EP also comprises of four new singles which are the enthralling ‘Put A Record On’ - that pays homage to Bob Marley’s ‘Three Little Birds’; uplifting ‘Climb’ featuring fellow Trinbagonians Freetown Collective; laidback ‘Water Flowing’; and the mesmerising ‘Runaway’. Kalpee worked with an elite line up of Grammy Award producers and writers including Carla Marie Williams (Beyonce, Britney Spears, Rudimental, Sean Paul), Yei Gonzales (Diplo, Cardi B, Dj Khaled) and Santiago Rodriguez (Little Mix, Pit Bull, Akon).

On the EP, Kalpee says: “’Feel Good Playlist Vol1’  is  intended to do just what it says in the title "make people feel good”.  It's what, I like to call  “Chilled Calypso” which is music that you could easily head bop too, but still make you feel to take a drive down North Coast Road in Trinidad on an evening at sunset time.  It was created  with the help of some amazing producers, writers and other artists too, and  collectively combines my musical heritage of Calypso and Soca with the music that has inspired me growing up, including rock, pop  and  reggae. I am grateful for all those involved  especially  The Anmls, Tano, Carla Marie Williams, Santiago Rodriguez, Stefflon Don  and  my fellow Trini’s Freetown Collective. I'm excited to share it.”

With two superb EPs out this year - the bona fide creative, songwriter, producer and musician Kalpee isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The undeniable young talent is gearing up to release more exciting new material that will lead into another groundbreaking year in 2021.
