Mary J. Blige's father, Thomas Blige, 63, is in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times by a former girlfriend, who had previously been charged with domestic violence for attacking Blige. He went outside to confront her when he saw her slashing the tires on his SUV. They argued, before she plunged the knife into his body three times, including once in his neck. Police tracked the woman down, she was arrested and charged with assault with intent to murder.
