ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Live at Battersea with Davido, Ekubo & Mc Abbey (PICS) @liveatbattersea @voxafricauk @shopsydoo

The promos for the popular live show on Voxafrica Sky 218 'LiveATBattersea' started running two weeks ago, promising its audience that “Friday nights would never be the same”. If last Friday night was anything to go by, I have just two words … “promise fulfilled”.

LiveATBattersea has had some great shows in the past with guests such as; Basket mouth, Flavour, Dizzy, Lola Rae, Yvonne Nelson, Wande coal and many more. But last Friday’s line up was one of the most interesting yet as they had 3 celebrities from different sectors of the entertainment industry, with Mc Abbey representing comedians, Alex Ekubo representing Nollywood, and Davido repping Afrobeats. It was a real joy to see how all three guests got along on the red sofa and encouraged each other, on and off screen.

The Live phone in show produced by Lian Okolie who also produces the Vox Ten music chart show on Voxafrica and presented by the ever lively Adesope Olajide aired around the world, with fans calling in from as far as Italy, Abuja (Nigeria), Germany, Lagos, Port Harcourt and beyond to have a chat with the celebrity guests.

Fans worldwide were glued to their sofas with one hand on their phones last Friday as they watched and called in to talk to the OBO Davido, as he spoke on the release of his Skelewu single on iTunes, which will be available for purchase from the 17th of March 2014 in the UK. Alex Ekubo was also not short of callers as his “social media wives” called in to congratulate him on his successes and his new series “Married to the Game”, which started airing on Ebony live TV last Saturday. Not forgetting of course one of the funniest Nigerian comedians to ever grace the show with his presence, Mc Abbey, who spoke about his upcoming comedy concert ‘ilaff’, as he had everyone laughing out loud with his wholesome and healthy family friendly jokes. Mc Abbey’s concert is set to take place on the 23rd of March in the Lagos Silverbird Galleria Cinema Hall.

'LiveATBattersea' was a night filled with fun, laughter, skelewu, eye candy, talent and much more. If you missed the show last Friday, you’ve probably got an “OH NO” face on right now. Well do not freight, as Friday’s show will be repeated this Wednesday at 5:15pm and on Saturday at 7pm.

I had a cheeky sneak peak at who LiveATbattersea has in stall for next week’s show, and the line-up is A-MA-ZING. So remember to tune in next week for a chance to speak to our special guests and win amazing competition prices.

LiveATbattersea will be airing at 8pm (UK) Sky 218 & DSTV 191 / GoTV 16 (Africa) at 9pm this Friday, however from next week; the regular slots will be at 9pm (UK) Sky 218, DSTV 191 / GoTV 16 (Africa) at 10pm.
