According to TMZ, Floyd had the two men do some work on his home in Las Vegas. After they were done and gone, Mayweather noticed that jewelry was missing and decided to put the blame on the ex-workers.

Mayweather had his people contact the men and instruct them to meet at an off-site location. When they arrived, the men were met by a number of Mayweather’s people, who proceeded to savagely assault them with various weapons, including clubs.

Both men sustained broken arms and legs and were hospitalized for several days. The attack was so bad that sources tell TMZ the men could have easily died.

We’re told the men are adamant they never took anything from Floyd and it appears Floyd realises that now. But here’s the problem for the champ — sources familiar with the situation say the attack amounts to attempted murder, mayhem and kidnapping. We’re told the men have retained a lawyer. The men remain adamant that they never stole jewelry from Mayweather. They have retained a lawyer and plan to press charges associated with attempted murder, mayhem, and kidnapping.
