GADGET: Now you can stream media from one Android phone to another!

Forget Bluetooth file transfers for sending videos to your friends (that’s so 2005): you can now simply stream your clips from one Android phone to another! It’s all thanks to the brains behind AllCast, a handy streaming app that lets you fire over your videos to your set-top box or smart TV, and now it works between Android devices too. Read on for all the details!

AllCast, the brilliant service for your Android phone or tablet that lets you stream over videos from your Android phone or tablet to your smart TV, Roku box or Chromecast, has just a received a companion app that’ll let you beam over media from one Android phone or tablet to another. AllCast Receiver, as the app name suggests, lets your Android blower or slate receive a variety of different media sent from another smartphone or tablet, making it perfect for long car journeys or get-togethers with friends.

This will also come in handy for those who are using an Android box or games console like an Ouya to power your TV, as you can simply throw over your media from your phone or tablet to the big screen, while it’ll also make sharing home made clips with friends a piece of cake.

If you want to try it out, the AllCast Receiver app is free to download from the Google Playstore, while the AllCast app itself will set you back £3.00 for the premium version – handily, there’s a trial version you can download to test it all out with.

What do you think of the latest addition to AllCast? Will it change up the way you share your media with friends, or are you more excited about using it with your Ouya?
