Apple’s WWDC developer conference is on the way in a couple of weeks, with some exciting announcements expected when it kicks off on 2nd June. It’s about time for a new iPhone
or at least an iOS upgrade, but what else can we expect from the gods of gadgets
? Read on to discover eight of the devices and announcements we’d really like to see!

A new smartphone OS If Apple is introducing the iPhone 6 at WWDC, the event would be the ideal opportunity to introduce the iOS 8 operating system
as well. It’d be great to see a shake up of the OS; how about giving us some more notifications or widgets for the home screen for a start please Apple
? This one’s looking very likely, as Apple has used WWDCto announce a new version of iOS for the last few years.

The iPhone 6

Each year we get excited about upcoming Apple
gadgets, and none are bigger than brand new iPhones. This year it’s not just about a spec change or update either, with the iPhone 6 expected to sport a completely new design and screen size. There’s even the very real probability of an Apple iPhone 6 phablet. A 5.5-inch or larger iPhone? That’s something we can’t wait to get our hands on! Apple has waited until the autumn in recent years to unveil a new iPhone
, but with more competition than ever, perhaps it’ll bring the date forward this year.

iWatch

According to the China Times, the Apple iWatch is already in production, and WWDC would be the perfect stage

The Retina MacBook Air

The MacBook Air is a brilliant laptop

Apple TV

We’ve been waiting for an Apple TV for some time now, and this summer would be a fantastic time to end the wait! There have been reports of Apple testing out 65-inch OLEDpanels, and it’d be a perfect way for Apple
to take on and beat the likes of Amazon’s Fire TV.

A proper iPad keyboard – watch out Surface Pro!

The Apple iPad is still one of the best tablets
out there, proving fast, fluid and easy to use. It’s not so good when it comes to productivity though, and we’d love it if Apple would consider making an official Microsoft Surface-style keyboard case, turning your iPad into a mini MacBook Air when you need to do some work.

Major changes afoot for Mac OS X!

It’s about time for an overhaul of Apple’s Mac OS X as well, and the latest iteration could follow in the footsteps of Apple’s iOS 7. It’d certainly make things easier for people wanting to switch between devices, with no need to learn multiple operating systems, and being able to get the most out of all your devices.
Healthbook app lifestyle tracker

There could also be some exciting smaller announcements at WWDC, such as the launch of the Healthbook app lifestyle tracker. The app
could well replace your fitness tracker, counting your steps and calories as you move around throughout the day, and helping you to stay healthy.

We’d love to know what you’d like to see at WWDC, so leave a comment and let us know!
