G-Star RAW has unveiled the highly-anticipated “Raw For The Oceans” collection for 2014 fall
/winter. Curated by Pharrell Williams, the partnership includes Bionic Yarn, the Vortex Project, Parley for the Oceans, and is made from eco-thread fibers derived from recycled plastic bottles. Plastics revived from the ocean are transformed into new generation denim and the Raw For The Oceans project has already recycled over 10 tonnes of ocean plastic. The collection includes jeans, T-shirts, sweats, jackets and caps, all constructed from Bionic Yarn and colored in shades of indigo blue and black, while also enlisting Bionic Yarn’s mascot print, Otto the Octopus, and the Houndstooth print. Check out the collection here and look for the collection to be released via G-Star RAW retailers in September.
