ENTERTAINMENT NEWS: Fashion Police has hired a replacement for Joan Rivers — Do you agree with the choice?! Must read!

Joan Rivers is impossible to replace but someone has to fill her designer heels after her September 4 death. Now E! has reportedly found the perfect sassy yet stylish comedienne to take over Joan’s pet project, Fashion Police. Place your bets now because we can’t keep this secret much longer!

Coming from The Daily News, we’re hearing Joan bestie and fellow funnywoman Kathy Griffin is set to take the reins of Fashion Police. “Kathy has been told if she wants the gig she can have it because Melissa wanted someone who her mother would have approved of,” a source close to the show tells the outlet. “Kathy will probably take the position but they are still working out the deal.”

We like this news for so many reasons. First, Joan’s daughter supposedly signed off on Kathy. Second, Kathy and Joan were real life friends and comedic cohorts. Third, the notorious redhead is certain to keep Joan’s no-one-is-safe humor alive and make sure Fashion Police is as raw and real as it has always been.

As for when the rumored change might occur, The Daily News is saying January 2015. That lines up with when E! announced the series, which is currently on hiatus, would return. “We have ... thought long and hard about what Joan would have wanted as it pertains to the future of Fashion Police. We decided, with Melissa Rivers's blessing, that Joan would have wanted the franchise to continue,” the network said in a September 19 statement.

The show will start up again with Golden Globes coverage as of Monday, January 12. But will Kathy be on the cast?

What say you? Think there’s any truth to this casting rumor or think it’s too soon to even be discussing a replacement? Tell us!
