25 years is as good as a century in small business, yet Active Ride Shop looks well in its prime as it celebrates its 25th anniversary. To observe the occasion, the California-based skateboarding institution tapped none other than Vans to create a special version of the classic Sk8-Hi silhouette. The shoe makes use of premium pig suede and ballistic nylon in the upper, meant to express the richness and strength of the Active Brand, while elsewhere using heather grey fleece at the collar and heel to represent the retailer’s inaugural product offering: sweatshirts. Limited to just 400 pairs worldwide, pick up this special collaboration beginning November 1 in-store and online.
