NEWS: ISIS killers butcher 13 football fans for watching Iraq play Jordan on TV

Tragedy: ISIS militants, (file pic, right) murdered 13 football fans for watching Iraq beat Jordan 1-0

Islamic State (ISIS) killers butchered 13 football fans for tuning in to watch Iraq take on Jordan in the Asian Cup.

The young men paid the highest price possible for their love of the game after they were machine gunned in an arena in the IS-controlled Iraqi city of Mosul.

The teens were rounded up in the Yarmouk district after the match, played in in Australia last week, which Iraq won 1-0 thanks to a goal from Swindon Town striker Yaser Kasim, 23.

A report on the 'Raqqa is being Silently Slaughtered web site' told how they were executed as simply watching the game was said to be in contravention of religious laws.

The firing squad killings were witnessed by dozens of local people as the boys' 'crimes' were announced via a loudspeaker.

The site said: "The bodies remained lying in the open and their parents were unable to withdraw them for fear of murder by terrorist organisation."

Match winner: Yaser Kasim of Iraq

The talented magician was well-known on the streets of the regime's captured capital Raqqa for beguiling locals with his sleight of hand, similar to the routines of Bradford-born Dynamo, real name Stephen Frayne, 31.

But blood-thirsty IS thugs arrested him as he practised his skills.

He was beheaded in public in a square after the religious fanatics branded his harmless tricks as anti-Islamic and an insult to God because they created 'illusions and falsehood'.

They denounced the terrified magician's show as Haram, or forbidden by the Koran, which kept locals from praying and attending the mosque.

Raqqa was once one of the most liberal and tolerant places in Syria with a mix of religions living side-by-side before it was taken over by IS troops.

But now the Jihadist terror group holds the city in a grip of iron and even the local barber shops have been closed down to prevent men cutting their beards.

Taxi drivers face a flogging if they take a longer route on a journey as this would use up time the occupants could spend praying.
