Eyshun grew up listening to the old school highlife artists such as Dasebre, Gyamena and Obrafour to name a few. His passion is to bring Ghanaian Highlife alive for young people to enjoy and appreciate just as he does. He is a songwriter and an amazing live performer.
“Life is like a sea, this sea is endless, the day you stop is where you drown so row fisherman row” are the lyrics of this beautiful highlife song entitled ‘Fisherman’ sung by the talented Eyshun featuring afro-jazz songstress Adomaa which will be on the album Highlife Is Alive.
The video was directed by mickey Johnson of motion eye philms and shot in Jamestown Accra Ghana. The song and video depict the life of fishermen and according to the Ministry of Agriculture in Ghana it employs an estimated 10% of the country’s population and employs over 60% women.
Eyshun in the video adopted the hardworking life of a fisherman; untangling the nets, going fishing on a canoe and made fisherman soup while is wife Adomaa was selling the fish caught by her husband in the market.
