NEWS: Nico Rosberg Wins His First F1 World Title at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix



The final race of the 2016 season ended with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at the Yas Marina Circuit. With both Nico Rosberg and Lewis Hamilton vying for the top spot, the 31-year-old German claimed his first ever F1 World Title, matching his father’s achievement 34 years ago. After the grueling 55 laps, Hamilton took first place with a time of 1:38:04.013, sealing his 10th Grand Prix of the season, the most any driver has picked up in a single year without winning the world title. Though Rosberg came in second with a time of 1:38:04.452, all Rosberg had to do was seal a podium position for enough points to win the F1 World Title. He did so with 385, only five points ahead of Hamilton’s 380. Rounding out the top three was German teammate Sebastian Vettel with a time of 1:38:04.856. Nico states, READ MORE HERE: hypebeast.com
