VIDEO: Google Announces Its First-Ever Livestreaming Music Festival

Live Nation and Goldenvoice aren’t the only giants in the world of concert and events promotion. Google is now stepping into the live music foray, having announced a joint venture with GOOD Magazine to create the tech giant’s very first live streaming music festival. The event is billed as a “a celebration of progress, positivity, and the power of people to push the world forward,” and will be called GOODFest. GOODFest will unfold throughout late November and December; bookings have been made for five separate shows in five cities across the United States. The first installment in Google’s new concert series will take place in New York City on November 29, with events planned for New Orleans, Seattle, Los Angeles and San Francisco. GOODFest will be live-streamed, and will showcase performances from D.R.A.M., Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zinner, Glass Animals, Gogol Bordello and more.
