Award winning American singer Robin Thicke lost his father Alan Thicke yesterday. He reportedly had a heart attack while playing hockey with his teenage son at an ice skating rink in Burbank, California. He was rushed to Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center after fire officials responded to an emergency call Tuesday afternoon regarding a male needing medical assistance at the ice skating rink.
According to TMZ, the Canadian-born TV icon is best known for his role as Jason Sever in the 1980’s sitcom, Growing Pains. His though he has over 100 acting credits to his name, the most recent of which include roles on Scream Queens, This Is Us, and Netflix’s Fuller House.
Besides acting, Thicke was also a singer/songwriter who composed the theme songs for classic sitcoms like The Facts of Life, and Different Strokes.
