Gemma was born in Cape Town, South Africa, but have spent most of my life living in Harare, Zimbabwe. The singer-songwriter studied towards a songwriting degree in the USA. Her soulful folk/pop sound is complemented by chirpy acoustic tunes and unique vocals. Gemma’s achievements in music include winning the national Eistedfodd vocal cup in Zimbabwe. The singer also plays trumpet and piano, in which she was classically trained, as well as guitar. She performed at HIFA – Harare International Festival of Arts twice, Miombo Magic twice and played on the Main Stage of ZimFest London 2015 .
