It was an interesting moment at the 14th edition of @MeetsMedia as US-based Nigerian movie producer, Usman Ligali popularly known as Don Fodio emerged the lead guest at the August edition of the monthly meeting and networking platform for creatives and personalities in the media and entertainment industry.
The event which took place at the Best Western Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos also had Nigerian singer, songwriter and instrumentalist, Harrysong as a guest. Don Fodio, a multitalented entertainer was represented by the beautiful Nigerian actress and movie producer, Doris Simeon.
Don Fodio wrote screen plays for few movie producers before relocating to California where he’s currently living and schooling. Aside movie making, his interest in music has seen him direct a couple of videos for upcoming talents in California.
With the announcement of Don Fodio on the movie scene, Nollywood is set to record the reemergence of the movie producer bringing his wealth of experience and international knowledge to impact on the craft of movie making in Nigeria.
This edition of the interactive media forum was quite refreshing as it had for the first time introduced a new segment called Candid Chat With Lady Ariyike (Ariyike Akinbobola), the show host.
The event presented Harrysong the chance to talk about his upcoming album. He also used the opportunity to address the issue surrounding his sour relationship with his former record label mate KC, and asked that it be put to rest when asked to comment on it. The ‘Reggae Blues’ crooner however announced plans to promote and sponsor upcoming music artists through his newly launched record label, Alter Plate.
