MUSIC VIDEO: @LITTLELAGOSKOLLECTIVE x KUNNIRAN KNN - OGUN JA REMIX

KunNiraN (KNN) returns with “Ogun Ja”, a powerful new single that is both a lament and a battle cry. Drawing on his deep Yoruba roots and his training in Music and Dramatic Arts from Obafemi Awolowo University, KunNiraN delivers a striking musical commentary on the quiet but brutal war faced by ordinary Nigerians today. Far from the sound of gunfire, Ogun Ja captures a different kind of conflict, one marked by hunger, corruption, economic hardship, and muted desperation. Over haunting percussion and spiritually charged vocal textures, the track paints a raw picture of a people navigating invisible warfare. “This war is quiet but deadly.

No bullets. Just empty pots, dead dreams, and silence,” KunNiraN says. “Ogun Ja is the outcry of the oppressed.

It’s time to feel, not just listen.” The single blends indigenous Yoruba instrumentation with philosophical storytelling, placing KunNiraN in the lineage of musical activists like Fela Kuti and Beautiful Nubia, while forging his own contemporary sound. Released under Jazzhole Records and produced by Caretta Productions, Ogun Ja not only reflects the reality of the Nigerian experience, but also honors the resilience of its people.

An Amapiano remix of Ogun Ja, produced under the executive supervision of Mr. Digger (Little Lagos Records UK), is also slated for release expanding the message to global and dance-focused audiences. With Ogun Ja, KunNiraN solidifies his place as a voice of conscience and creativity, offering more than music: a mirror to society, a call to wakefulness.
