MUSIC VIDEO: Radical77 - Aje (Official video)

AJE (Fortune) a poetic track by Radical77 is inspired by the story of a man's journey from grass to grace. The story portrays the humility, strength, courage and optimism of the man who began with nothing but ended up with ‘AJE’. AJE was released in November 2011 and attracted multiple radio airplays around the world, including Nigeria, United Kingdom and India. It is a track which people from all walks of life have been able to relate to and have been inspired by; Radical77 describes it as ‘the track of the people’. The video is directed by talented Director of Urban Cinema - Michael Ibiayo, and is soon to be released on VEVO, MTV, MTVBASE AFRICA and more in the next coming weeks.

Ibiayo blends a mixture of vivid scenes from the Nigerian local market meshed together with urban scenes in London. It is very clear, that this is the work of two young men that have 'seen it all'. As they say . . . "from Lagos to London!

These two talented Artistes’ in their own esteem have cottoned on to the powerful yet relevant movement - ‘Return Of The Golden Race' - Particularly Radical77, a ‘Free Radical’ where there is “Message in the Music”. 'The Return' is all about the 'Positive' representation of what makes us, us? #AJE links to some beautiful aspects of Culture i.e. Pepper Seasoning, ground provision (Yam & Dasheen), Staple foods, vegetables and hard meat. We then fast forward to the UK to see that such cultural links continue throughout a typical African grocery store etc.

#Returnofthegoldenrace is a highly engaging cultural theme at the fore front of every conscious global community and the #1 buzz word - #Alignment, which resonates on so many levels - literally!

As we purge on to see the release of AJE, the question we may ask is, how far is the importance of the ‘Positive Message’ making its way into Afro-beats? The 'over night' sensation melting down any London Club? One thing for sure is #Returnofthegoldenrace,
Which is about a Spiritual Alignment, stepping 'back' into ones former 'greatness as one'
(from The African proverb - Umoja), is present in the delivery of #R77Music, from Design to Performance. It is interesting to see such expressions of Broadway Artiste's on the theme of #Returnofthegoldenrace such as The late Michael Jackson R.I.P in 'Do You Remember the Time', Bob Marley and the Wailers, Conscious Reggae Artistes such as Peter Tosh, Black Uhruru, Desmond Dekker, Naz, Junior Gong, Rhianna, Jay Z and Beyonce. What more is left to say than tune into AJE and stay #Golden!
